It’s all about the latch

With over 13 years of experience in birth work and two young children of my own, I know how vulnerable and beautiful the first days can be. My career began as a Labor and Delivery nurse in the Texas Medical Center, where my passion for mothers’ advocacy was born. Always drawn to the awe of the first latch, I developed my professional skills to continue honoring that tender space and certified as an IBCLC in 2019. Since then I have supported breastfeeding families both in and out of the hospital setting. I created Latch Houston with the purpose of bringing expert and compassionate care to meet you where the magic happens. It is my mission to make sure that all families, however they’re made, feel deeply supported, seen, and cared for.

My personal experience with breastfeeding was as unique as my two boys, each with their own joys and challenges. I feel particular kinship with others who experience painful latch from tongue-tie, infant reflux, DMER, pumping while at work, and those without local support. I am grateful for the lactation consultants who helped me navigate challenges and celebrate victories! In my free time I enjoy fitness, reading, travel, and sharing knock-knock jokes with my husband and boys.
